Most faults come down to one of the parts below. The sooner they are looked at, the less likely they are to damage the rest of the door.
Broken garage door springs
A snapped torsion or extension spring is the most common reason a door suddenly becomes too heavy to lift. Springs are under high tension, so please don’t try to release or replace one yourself.
Snapped or frayed cables
If the door hangs crooked, drops on one side or a cable has come off its drum, stop using it. We replace lifting cables and re-balance the door so it runs evenly again.
Electric door and opener faults

My garage door spring has snapped. Is it safe to use the door?
No. Leave the door where it is and do not try to lift it or release the spring. Springs are under high tension and can cause serious injury. Call us and we will replace it safely.
Should I repair my garage door or replace it?
If a repair will give you a reliable door, we will recommend the repair. If the door is beyond economical repair, we will explain why and quote for a replacement. We do not believe in the hard sell.
